Montagne Jeunesse Manuka Honey Peel Off or Black Seaweed
A week or so ago, I received a free sample of Montagne Jeunesse's Black Seaweed Peel Off mask. I was extremely excited to try this product because it has been awhile since I have used a peel off of any kind, and I was ready to start seeking out a new product.
I really don't battle with dry or oily skin, and have an easy time keeping my face clear. I prefer peel off masks over other types of masks, because you get better control and coverage, when applying directly to your face. Also, I feel there are more varieties when choosing a peel off.
I opened the product and noticed that it had enough mask to spread over my face and neck in a thick layer. I noticed the clean scent and already, I began to smile. (I did notice that after applying, I had black areas around my fingernails that took a bit longer to scrub off.)
I began spreading a layer over my nose and cheeks, where I started to feel a burning sensation. I knew that there would be no way that I could attempt to wait for the mask to dry, before peeling it off--the burning was much to unbearable. I started to rinse it off as fast as I could, but it seemed too slimy and didn't appear to be coming off. After trying for about a minute, I grabbed a face towel, placed it under warm water, and began wiping as fast as possible.
My face became red from the experience, and although I appreciate the free sample, I do not think I will try this brand's seaweed masks again. On a side note, I am still open to their other peel off products.
On a good note, now that my face has had about a 1/2 hour of rest, I can feel the pores have tightened and my face does feel fresh and clean. #freesample #mjpeeloffs
