The joy in my life

This year has been beautiful as best friends, and now, as husband and wife. I feel so much love within for all that you are. Next year will be even more beautiful, because as it has been through the years, we will still be best friends, but will share our first 'entire' year as one.

My sweetness, you are love.

And with each moment we two share whether it be out shooting photographs, shopping, watching movies, cooking, laughing, tender moments and more, my heart glistens inside. I adore when you sing to me, or when you reach over just to touch my hand. I adore all that you are, my love, and would marry you a million times over without regret.

You are beautiful, sweet, sensual, brave, romantic, loving, intelligent, cultured, warm. funny, and you touch me in ways that no other has or ever could. ... you are a true man in each and every way. And I love how you sing to me, or sit me on your lap... how you always reach for my arm with your own when walking together and keep my hand warm within yours.

I love that cute little curl that sticks up in the mornings or the way the right corner of your mouth reveals a slight dimple when you smile. I adore your stories and laughter, the way you cook, and I adore the way we two make love... how you tell me how much you love me as you look into my eyes. I melt completely.

If I did anything right this year, I fell in love and married my very best friend. And to fall in real love is something we all dream of... I am one of the fortunate ones and am so grateful.

I had to experience falsehood, lies and sorrow to get to where I am with you. You were the one true thing in my life, because you always remained the same--standing beside me through all that, holding my hand, drying my tears and most importantly, never ceasing to love me with all your heart. Thank you for how you are, baby. Thank you for believing in me.

Ti amo!

Your wife, Cher

From my sweet husband before we married :) :

"Oh My Sweet, my Sweet,

I listened to sleep for awhile, oh you are my Heaven, my Hopes and My Dreams. Oh my Sweet, how I love so. I went to your Mojo and listened to your music. I see how we love the same variety of music, I see you in everything. I am sooooooo in love with you.

I smiled from inside to every pore of my flesh when I listened to your sleeping breathe and Secret Garden. We are so similar, and I know beyond a shadow of doubt we are twin souls, twin souls seeking all we are together. My Baby, I love you more than I love my breath.

Secret Garden is one of my all time faves, it reaches deep within me and pulls hard at my heart strings, oh Honey, thank you for letting me into your Secret Garden. I am feeling you so much right now. I imagine you sleeping and I looking down upon you as a wraith, watching over you, loving you with all I am, protecting your heart, living for the moment you awaken knowing I am with you there in heart. I feel your smile upon my soul, I feel your love across the abyss of time and oceans of space.

I only wish I could tell you in words not yet written how much I love you. You are permeating my space, my mind, my existence, I am surrounded by your heart and feel safe... I am loved by the most incredible woman breathing... how awesome is that?

I promise to love you as much as I do this moment, always. I want to build our lives together and to give my all to you. I promise to love you until my breath fades into the unknown. I must touch you... I so desire it, I so want you.

Cher, my Sweet Cher, my Love, my Breath, my Reason for tomorrow... I love you, Baby, Baby, Baby, oh my God, Baby... I am so in love, I am smitten, I am crazy for you, I want to wrap your presence around me and walk in the Light of Joy, the Joy I feel right now, every day, every moment....Every everything. Oh Baby...

:))))))))) He is all that I am and more.

Happy New Year!

May your new year be filled with joy and warmth.

Merry Christmas!

Have such a wonderful holiday!

Stefan & Cher :)

Saturday, December 20, 2008

I talked to the assistant executive producer of ABC the day before yesterday. He said, "Is Stefan there?" I said, "Sure, one moment, please." ;)

What? You thought it was something more exciting? My thought was, "Do you know who I am? Have you seen my work?" (... just kidding,... I would never say that to him!)

He did seem very sweet. Sadly, my husband gets all the good calls! ;)

Hugs! :)

He's bringin' sexy back

I am so bad right now, but I don't care. Why do I post these? Because I can? ;) Soooo, being the brat that I am, I made a song that makes me think of Stefan as my first song here on my play list. ... it is SO about him. ;)

Well, I just love my husband and no matter what he does or says, he will always be beautiful in my eyes.

Something he wrote to me:

My Sweetness,

In the cool of winter, brisk breeze upon my flesh, warmth floods from within.
Across the fields of white and frozen waters, standing focused through a lens,
a smile across a wintered face, contentment and joy withstanding.

I watch from across the lake of ice, watching, happy and loved. It is in these moments winter's chill fails it's mission, warmth from hearts full of love reigns supreme.

All that I am lies within your embrace, nurtured by gentle caresses from soul to soul, eternal and true.

Baby, spending time together capturing nature in its winter clothes yesterday meant more to me than one thousand thousand "I Love Yous"

Solid and unconditionally,

Tonight has been a great night together and it can only get better. I wish you all such a warm weekend!

-Cher :)

If Tomorrow Never Comes

... at least we had today.

... and what a beautiful day it was together. Nothing can compare to the way he makes me feel. I am grateful to have a husband as sweet and as wonderful, as Stefan is.

Good night :)

You're in my heart

Today was a very long day, but time spent with you has and always will, make each moment worthwhile. I will never stop falling in love with you.

My dearest love,

I need you. It is the sort of need that does not come from a certain "wanting", but a deeper meaning inside. I suppose it is a need that runs through one's veins and into the soul. ... I will always need you. I need you near when times seem a bit too much. I need your kiss each night before sleep. I need your smile to brighten my day.

Most of all, I need you for life; you are not only my husband, but you are my best friend, and that is something I will cherish forevermore.

Your best friend and wife,

Together, we are beautiful

Here is the 1st photograph from our tree. :)

Luci e colori del Natale...

Stefan and I went out and bought some beautiful decorations and lights. We went to A.C. Moore and bought some Christmas ribbon, as well. I could not believe what beautiful glass ornaments we saw--some Waterford ones were absolutely precious.

Afterward, we came home and began stringing the lights... holiday music filling the air, kissing our cheeks with the joy of having each other. We sang, danced arm in arm and kissed. It took me back to something he said the other night, " Isn't is nice to spend the holidays with someone?" Yes, my love, it really is. I am not sure how I answered, but I recall feeling loved beyond measure.

(I think it was about 2 am when we finished all we needed to do.) :)

Stefan was so sweet as his eyes sparkled within our first Christmas together. They made my heart smile more than it ever has. His love for me is more than I could have ever dreamed,... it completes me.

After all was done, I fell asleep in his arms--the tree, lighting up the room softly.

Just the Two of Us

An image I shot while in Carmel, California. I must say, it is an absolutely amazing place to be, and with the couple beneath the sunset, it was very romantic, as well. (If I am not mistaken, this image had won a cash prize contest after it was taken.)

I hope you are all enjoying your week.
-Cher :)

O Christmas Tree

We went out tonight, picked out a beautiful Christmas tree and set it up in its stand with water and such. Tomorrow we will decorate it! As soon as it is all done, I will post an image of it here to share.

Last night, Stefan and I went for a 2 hr walk around the neighborhood. We saw homes decorated so peacefully for the season, heard some that played music, and stopped to admire an entire home and alley strung with lights, music, antique snowmen, real animals and all other sorts of things. It was so sweet and inviting.

We kissed for a moment. I wanted to give him a very romantic one, but there were people coming and I had gotten a bit shy. After we left, I told him of what I had wanted to do,... he stated, "I wanted to dance with you." I smiled inside, held his arm tighter, and we walked on.

I remember thinking as we were almost home how I never wanted this night to end. I turned my eyes toward him without his knowledge and felt so much love inside, said nothing and turned toward our driveway.

I am utterly in love with my husband.

-Goodnight to you all. Sleep peacefully.

A prayer for the desperate hearts tonight

... as Aerosmith says, "You have to learn to crawl before you learn to walk..."

Never let anyone hurt you, ever. May you find the love Stefan and I have found. May your heart feel true happiness,... everyone deserves that. True love is always worth frighting for. True love is worth every up and down,... every second you endure. I say this because there is nothing else like it--a true love is all and everything it supposed to be, and it is incredibly beautiful.

Believe it. :)

...were made for peace, security and to share with someone you care for. May you all have a most beautiful weekend full of perfect days and the blessing of just being here.

Here, in my heart

... it fills with a tremendous love, whenever I see him smile--it is one of the most beautiful things my eyes have ever had the pleasure to endure. I need him more than he will ever know.

From this moment

"You are the reason I believe in love..."

(I do swear that I'll always be there. I'd give anything and everything and I will always care. Through weakness and strength, happiness and sorrow, for better for worse, I will love you with every beat of my heart.)

I give my hand to you with all my heart
Can't wait to live my life with you, can't wait to start
You and I will never be apart
My dreams came true because of you

As he sits in front of me, I see how blessed I am... it is incredible. And I am not sure how many times I have told him that I love him today, but I know he feels it; it shines within all I do.

This marriage is one of the most beautiful experiences that I have ever endured, and there is so much more to come. He told me the other day that no one has ever loved him as I do, but I can easily say the same thing back to him... (I did not, but I understood what he meant, because no one on earth has ever moved me, loved me or made me feel complete, as he does).

He says he has never loved anyone as much as he does me. One look into his eyes and I believe. And I have never loved anyone as much either (or have trusted)--he is my heart, my best friend, confidant, twin soul, lover and my beautiful husband.

He is finally home, and I am his to hold each and every night, until the end of time.

Last night we went for a long walk...he held his arm out for me to place my arm into, and then his hand held mine warmly, it was a closeness we two always seem to share. As we walked we spoke of many different things, admired some homes decorated for Christmas, (discussed others) and took in the scents of fireplaces as they warmed families after a long Thanksgiving celebration.

We came home, watched "August Rush" (a beautiful movie with magical music and feeling), cuddled and went to sleep.

I hope you all enjoyed your holiday.

Warmest regards,

Black Friday stampede - Worker dies

... after being trampled in Long Island.

A Wal-Mart worker died after being trampled when hundreds of shoppers smashed through the doors of a Long Island store Friday morning, police and witnesses said.

The 34-year-old employee, a temporary maintenance worker, tried to hold back the unruly crowds just after the Valley Stream store opened at 5 a.m.

Witnesses said the surging throngs of shoppers knocked the man down. He fell and was stepped on. As he gasped for air, shoppers ran over and around him.

"He was bum-rushed by 200 people," said Jimmy Overby, 43, a co-worker. "They took the doors off the hinges. He was trampled and killed in front of me. They took me down too...I literally had to fight people off my back."

The unidentified victim was rushed to an area hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 6:03 a.m., police said.

The cause of death wasn't immediately available pending results of an autopsy.

A 28-year-old pregnant woman was knocked to the floor during the mad rush. She was hospitalized for observation, police said. Early witness accounts that the woman suffered a miscarriage were unfounded, police said.

Three other shoppers suffered minor injuries, cops said.

Wal-Mart spokesman Dave Tovar called the incident a "tragic situation."

"The safety and security of our customers and associates is our top priority," Tovar said.

"Our thoughts and prayers are with them and their families at this difficult time."

Before police shut down the store, eager shoppers streamed past emergency crews as they worked furiously to save the store clerk's life.

"They were working on him, but you could see he was dead, said Halcyon Alexander, 29. "People were still coming through."

Only a few stopped.

-NY Daily News

I cannot even believe this... I mean, these are mostly women of all ages, how can they be so brutal? How can anyone do such a horrible thing just to get a sale item in a store? Is this what Christmas has come to? I hardly think men would do such an act in any store, over any sale item, at any time. Sad indeed.

My heartfelt condolences to that man's family, I am sure their Christmas will never be the same.

Happy Thanksgiving

A moment to relax before Stefan and I begin our cooking for tonight, and for the holiday. He will prepare homemade pies, the main course and some other things. I will do other preparations. He and I went shopping this evening for Thanksgiving, and it was wonderful deciding together what to cook, beginning new traditions and simply being out in this wonderful season with him. We make a great team.

And I must say, being married to, not only a warm man, but someone who has been my best friend during so much through-out the years, makes our bond even greater. I have no doubts our holidays this year will be new and exciting.
... I have no doubts that Stefan is "the one".

May you all have a wonderful Thanksgiving holiday!

A Sister's Affection

When I shot this image I was beside the Golden Gate Bridge. As always, there was a tour taking place, (even during the rain). As I walked past, I came across a Chinese family listening attentively to the man giving the tour. I saw this young girl sheltering little brother from the weather--she had her arm around him as she held an umbrella above them both. It was a sweet display of affection, and proved to my heart once again, even children sacrifice in order to protect and warm others.

... she had been getting somewhat wet, but chose not to worry as long as he was protected. I took the image, smiled to myself and walked down by the water to bask in the beauty of the sea, taking with me, thoughts of my own family and how much I adore them.

The Golden Gate

One of my favorite places to be. When I took that image it was so foggy out--the surfers were enjoying the day as much as, everyone else that had the pleasure to be there. And as you know, I love the sea with all my is a part of me.

Early Morning Thoughts

(An image I shot during a foggy afternoon.)

Last night, Stefan and I went for a long was very nice. It had rained, so the streets glistened beneath the street lights. One thing I have always loved is the scent of rain...walking hand in hand made it even more beautiful.

I have been busy for the most part trying to schedule models for photo shoots, working, working on photographs, and everything in-between. Stefan has been busy, as well, but made a wonderful Indian dinner last night that was absolutely delicious. (He also made some Japanese dinners a few times, Shrimp Bisque, and what is my new favorite, seafood gumbo. Being Cajun, it was spicy, with crab, shrimp and so much was one of the best dinners I have ever had.)

Anyway, it is early here and very foggy. I almost want to get my camera and go get a few photographs, but I am having coffee and trying to wake some still. :) I must say, I adore waking to such a sweet face each morning,... I am blessed.

I never thought,...

I would actually hold all I have ever desired. Actually, I hold so much more--a completeness only he can bring. I can be moody, bratty, happy, sad, kind and warmhearted,...

... but I could never be more beautiful than I am when he looks into my eyes.

And even though I make many mistakes and have so much to learn, I know I will continue to grow into something even more beautiful; the one who he kisses goodnight at an older age. I am blessed.

Happy Birthday to me :)

Just a quick note (I will write more later):

Stefan and Sara are so adorable; they are arranging all my birthday gifts so sweetly. I cannot help but smile as our home fills with the scents of dinner, Boston Creme, and love. :) Well, I better get back to those two! See ya later!

Something I promised to post

What is more difficult: looking into someones eyes when telling how you feel, or looking into someones eyes when they tell you how they feel?

2. Think of the last time you were angry.
Why were you angry?

I was being a brat

3. You will die in three minutes.
Last call?

Oh I see, I will take a Baily's please ;)

If you could do anything OR wish anything, what would it be?

Never lose my husband's love for me

5. You can have one of the following two things: trust or love.
You cannot have one without the other.

6. You are walking to work. There is a dog drowning in the canal on the side of the street. Your boss told you if you are late one more time you're fired.
Do you save the dog?

I probably left early, so yes, I save the pup. ;)

Would you or have you ever blackmailed someone?

8. Think of the last person who you know that died. You have the chance to give them 1 hour of life back, but you have to give one year of your life.
Do you do it?

Are you the kind of friend that you would want to have as a friend?

I hope so, but I am bad at keeping in touch, even though I think of them all often.

Does sex=love?

No. Sex = Sex. But, sex and love=making love, and that is beautiful.

Are you old fashioned?

Would you marry someone if they were unable to have sex?

What would be harder for you, to tell someone you love them or that you do not love them back?

To tell them I love them

What do you think would be the hardest thing for you to give up?

It has been my love for chocolate.

Romantic love, when was the last time you told someone you loved them?

This morning when I woke to my husband sitting beside me singing the "Happy Birthday" song and smiling so sweetly.

If you had to go back in time and change one thing, if you HAD to, even if you have "no regrets" what would you change?

Not falling in love with Stefan when I was 18--I would not have had to endure anything bad,... although, it all has been life experiences. (I would wish the same for him.)

17. Imagine. It is a dark night, you are alone, it is raining outside, you hear someone walking around outside your window. WHO do you wish was there with you?
Stefan, because he is superninjabadass ;)

Would you give a homeless person CPR if they were dying?

Of course! Being homeless does not make you less of a person.

19. You are holding onto your grandmother's dying hand and the hand of a newborn that you do not know as they hang over the edge of a cliff.
You have to let one go to save the other which one would it be?

Hard question

When and how was the last time you told someone how you REALLY feel?

Everyday. I always say what is in my heart, in anyway I can.

You look so good, it hurts sometimes

Sitting across from him as we both multitask on our computers, I begin to daydream. He leans in to kiss me sweetly and the scent of his heated breath moves through me like the tide to shore--I soak it in.

I realize as he looks down into my eyes how much he loves me.

Tuesday, November 18, 2008

Today will be a different sort of post; I will not be adding my own images or words, but those of my husband, Stefan.

Today he wrote me 2 beautiful messages as he sat across from me. I, of course, had not idea he was writing me such wonderful and warm words--(I was caught up in other activities and such). He then asked me to go have a look at Shuttermojo, and I did. There, I found these 2 photographs he had taken during a walk we two went on last week, placed sweetly with these words:

"Alone in the fields of autumn, standing strong against the breath of November, waiting, holding, waiting.

Rising high above the ground, brilliant and bold against the sky, see the beauty, see strength, see frailty.

Lips pursed, exhaled wind blows, carries new life in another season, another place...

You breathed upon me and brought new life, Cher. I will love you for all seasons unto the end of the end.

"Season's swift change approaches the mountains, I stand at the window with the knowledge of how our season has changed as well. The freshness is as that of the falling snow now gathering upon a ledge.

Once alone in this world I wandered lost without knowing. Like a single leaf upon the fresh fallen snow, I took on the chill, awaiting season's change. The spring would have left me forgotten as new life begins.

You found me there alone in the cold, brushed away the drift, held me close to your bosom and brought me warmth. You took me home and pressed me between the pages of your life, preserving my soul.

I adore you, Cher and I am happy you chose me to love and to hold.

All I am...

I smiled and went over to him to hold him close and thank him. The scent of his warm neck against my cheek gave me butterflies. I breathed in deeply for a moment to cherish all that he is and gently kissed him. I so love being in his arms, and am fortunate he chose this lil' brat to be his wife! ;)

I love you, Stefan. I love you with all my heart and would marry you 1000 times over again. Grazie, amore mio.

Photograph for a Lost Summer

I shot this image at Gouldsboro State Park in autumn. One thing that I always seem to think of is that bear eat out of the park's garbage cans a lot,... so they warn to keep lids closed. Luckily, I have not ever ran across one.

I did however, see a baby bear cross in front of my car one afternoon--I had stopped to shoot a photograph of it as it went up a hill, but thought its mother must be close by and how protective she must be. With that thought, I decided to get back in my car. ;)

I know of fidelity through poetry or novel—the whites
of winter, a future that soothed, a man that I would
grow to adore even more.

And within each moment, my heart flew. Regardless of
the fear that clung to our palms, we stepped through
book-pressed flowers, hand in hand, caught numerous
butterflies that swam effortlessly inside.

Glancing back, I sing a deeper hymn in the open seas
of amore—a song of sediment, recall words on an August
night, limbs extended, chests fragile as doves against
the backdrop of forever, where the clouds trembled
translucent, counting seconds in anticipation.

And from October’s chill to May's bloom, we took on a
mouthful of dandelion—an atonement only we two shared.

Oh, we were invincible, sat firm on the crown of this
world, knowing even though we were apart at times,
we would always regain our footing in the everlasting

(Such a part of me, is you—a place where our lips
never quite disconnect, a refuge beside the foggy

And as ocean notes gather quietly, they will discover
us, two hearts like sand, drifting softly together.

This is an image I took last winter, (... at least I think it was last winter ;).

When I look at it I think of summer; do not get me wrong, I do indeed like winter, but prefer any other season much better--I guess winter is much too quiet,... almost to the feeling of loneliness.

Enjoy your day!
